Announcing New Arts Majors

The School of Liberal Arts and Sciences has added three new Bachelor of Arts programs that prepare students to serve their communities through art:

  • studio art
  • community arts
  • pre-art therapy

Current and accepted students are now able to enroll in these programs.

The new majors are built around a common core of art and design courses, including those in the University’s Arts & Culture First Year Program. The studio art major provides professional preparation for working in the artistic marketplace, as well as artistic skill development and training in biblical worldview integration. The community arts major prepares students to use their artistic skills for the good and growth of those around them in both the public and private sector. The pre-art therapy program helps students develop a strong foundation in artistic, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills, preparing them to pursue graduate studies in the field.
