Dr. Charles Furness, 1981 | In addition to chair of PCB’s Social Work Department, professor Charles Y. Furness had worn many hats at Philadelphia College of Bible by 1979. His roles included Chairman of the Division of Professional Education (which oversaw majors in Social Work, Missions, Pastoral Studies, Christian Education, and Music), acting chairman of the Missions Department, and advisor for the Committee of Minority Students’ Affairs.
