This January, Cairn University’s School of Education was ranked nationally among higher education institutions for leading Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program elements in online graduate and master’s programs.
The Applied Behavior Analysis Programs Guide listed Cairn 5th in the top 15 Best Applied Behavior Analysis Online Programs for its Master of Science in Special Education in ABA.
Cairn was also ranked 16th out of the top 40 schools for its Online Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. Cairn offers the first Christian university programs worldwide verified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) that include extensive training in autism.
ABA has been used for decades as an effective, research-supported approach to address the educational needs and behavioral concerns that stem from causes such as mental health conditions, neurological disorders, and behavioral and substance addictions. Considered one of the most effective therapies, ABA is increasingly utilized by educators and behavior analysts to create effective interventions and learning environments for students with and without special needs, enhancing the academic, social, communication, behavioral, and life skills of students.
Cairn’s ABA programs are nationally ranked for good reason. These dynamic and intensive programs offer the student a cohesive approach to understanding the practice and application of ABA principles. In addition to equipping students with the knowledge to pass the BCBA and BCaBA exams, the University faculty also teach students the real-life application of what they are learning.
Cairn programs also stand out compared to other university offerings because of the intentional flexibility built into them. Understanding the needs of a diverse population of students, Cairn offers online courses that, while academically rigorous, realistically fit into the lives of busy students and professionals.
Students benefit from an approach committed to the highest degree of professional preparation and careful integration of a biblical worldview. The School of Education provides students with the thorough preparation and credentials needed for teaching and practicing in schools, clinical settings, and Christian ministries.
