“Every time I popped in to an activity, there was a crowd there,” Jamie Gleason ’01, Alumni Director, said of the 2012 Homecoming Weekend. “I was excited to see alumni engaged in everything. We had alumni at the Garden Party for the first time ever, kicking the weekend off on Friday night, all the way through to a strong showing at the faculty seminars on Saturday afternoon.”
The 2012 Homecoming festivities filled Friday and Saturday, October 5-6. From Friday night’s Garden Party and Alumni Concert to Saturday’s athletic competitions, Build-a-Boat race, Ferris wheel and horse-drawn wagon rides, there was something for everyone. A record turn-out of alumni, friends, students, and families made the day a great success.
Dr. Todd J. Williams ’92, University President, said, “I especially enjoyed being able to personally talk with folks about the changes of the past year and what’s ahead because these are exciting days. Next year is our Centennial Celebration and I think this year’s Homecoming was a good momentum builder.”
We look forward to seeing you in 2013!
