When my wife and I transferred to the Philadelphia Biblical University thirty-seven years ago this fall, we came because we wanted the Bible to be the foundation of our lives and this institution was (and is) the place to study the Bible. What I did not realize upon entering is that I was required to take two years of Greek as part of my program.

“Be a teacher, you get the summers off!” Oh, how we, as teachers, laugh at this comment.  The truth is that summertime is the time to keep learning. 

Anyone who has been a PBU student in recent years is familiar with the exhortation, “Be a Part of It!” Student Life staff members have worked to inform, engage, and inspire students to get involved during their time here. We would like to borrow that phrase as we introduce the new website to the entire PBU community.

In the fall of 2010, PBU launched a new Career Center as a part of the Strategic Plan 2012. The Center provides service to students seeking the tools to prepare for entry into the job market upon graduation. A new director, Teri Catanio, was hired to coordinate the efforts of the University faculty and staff as they work to help students throughout their PBU experience

Some might believe that business cannot walk a different path. Business is necessary for a society to function well. The marketplace provides a variety of goods and services, and the distribution network to get them delivered anywhere in the world.
